Wenzel Zika enlisted August 22, 1862 and was slightly wounded May 1,1863 at Port Gibson, Miss. He was taken prisoner Sept 19, 1864 in Winchester, Virginia. He was mustered out May 29, 1865 in Davenport, Iowa. His original residence was Iowa City, Iowa. For a history of the 22nd regiment you might look in Vol 3 of the Iowa Roster of Soldiers.
