The 45 infantry was one of the units that was called the "One-Hundred Days Men". Four regiments and four companies for one hundred days in the summer of 1864 The 45 performed their services in Tenn., garrisoning posts and guarding lines of communication. The 25th fought at Vicksburg, Lookout Mountain, Missionary Ridge and at Ringgold. They were also with Sherman in his "March to the Sea" Becky in Denver
