Re: 11th Iowa Vol Inf., Co. D. Samuel Campbell, 1st Sgt. Killed by sniper near Atlanta, Aug 19, 1864. Great Uncle. Would like to hear from anyone who has any info. Already have National Cemetery gravesite, Marietta, GA. Would also like info as to engagements of the regimant and of Co. D in particular. Is there a regimental history somewhere. Sam had brother Alexander in same regiment but not same company.
