IAFrom: [email protected] CommentsI am looking for information on "Herman Hisker" He is buried in Haubstadt Indiana. His marker reads: "Hisker, Herman - Co F 7th Inf. IA", he was born in 1833 and died April 24th, 1908. He is not listed in the Indiana 7th Inf. Regiment -- IA was sometimes used for Indiana - could he have been in the Iowa 7th Inf.? If anybody has the total Iowa 7th Inf. records I would appreciate your checking and forwarding of any info..Thanks, Bob Ward ( [email protected]) Equipment for saleFrom: [email protected] CommentsA friends son is trying to sell the following equipment. 1853 Enfield 3-Band Black Powder Rifle with strap and white cloth case. It was mustered in at Davenport and mustered out there also. The Unit fought in Arkansas and later was on Sherman's march to Georgia. My BENJAMIN FRANKLIN WARE was in it. I have his archival records if anybody is interested in Guthrie County Wares. Last changed: October 21, 2002 |
