25th Iowa Infantry

Mustered, ("Ordered Into Quarters"): August 2nd, 1862
by Gov. Kirkwood at Columbus City, IA.

Hugh Dunar
Alpha Butman
Charles (Charlie) Baily
Robert B. Hewett
Allen S. Paschal
Alvah S. (Alvey) Smith

Two brothers were apparantly in the same regiment, but different companies:
Griffith Thomas
Rolant Thomas

Three more of his neighbors passed through on boats toward Vicksburg, but may have been different Iowa Regiments (but I believe the regiment to be 11th IA, Co. C)
