Comments: Currently operates a "doodlebug" gas powered coach, a small gas locomotive, a diesel locomotive, and a steam crane. Also restoring to operation a 0-4-0 Baldwin steam switch engine. Also at the site are replica railroad buildings, an engine house, a depot, a section house, an old time filling station, an old time general store and an old school from the site of the former rail stop of Viele several miles east of the site and formerly part of the railroad that has been restored. Operates one mile of a line that used to run west from Ft Madison and Viele to Bloomfield, IA and southwesterly to Carrolton Mo. It had been hoped at one time in history to make this a route from Chicago to Kansas City, but that never materialized and the line was abandoned in the late 60's.
