My gggrandfather Henry L. Grover enlisted in First Cavalry. Co. B in Lyons,Clinton,IA July 1861 and moved to Des Moines post war where he married and lived for decades. He is recorded as being a Lyons resident in his pension records. I am asking for some help in locating some record of his parents names. Is there someone in Scott or Clinton counties who is willing to help me? Thanks for any input.
