My grandmother was born in sac county Iowa 12\23\1888. The information on her birth certificate indicates that her mother was born in Butler co. Iowa 37 years prior.My problem comes in trying to find Butler Co in 1851 Iowa. Can anyone tell me what Butler Co may have been known as during that period. Her name was Lucretia E Maynard.
