I have a picture of my Charles Ware, father of Benjamin Franklin Ware who was in the 1st IA LT Artillery. The picture shows an older man in a very bedraggled officer's uniform. The Civil War Round Table says it is definetly a uniform of Union Army and a Capt. or LT. This Charles Ware picture is very similar to one posted on the Iowa Site as "unknown". Charles would have been 38 years old at the time of the Civil War. Does anybody have any ideas on this?
