Looking for descendents or information about Henry or wife Diana Beadle of Fayette County, IA. Henry was in Company C, 12th Iowa, captured at Shiloh, and died in captivity at Camp Oglethorpe, Macon, GA. We have almost NO information besides a few dates and would like to learn more about the two. They emigrated from New York State in about 1854 and farmed (we suppose), maybe in Douglass, IA.
Any information or suggested sources welcomed.
