James Bales Current (b. 1 June 1821, Welland, Ontario), lived in Sharon Twp, Clinton Co, during the 1870 census, with wife Sarah Jane, 13-year-old son, Joseph, and 4-year-old daughter, Addie. In 1895 James' son Joseph, died in Ontario, Canada, and in 1896 James' wife, Sarah Jane, died in Ontario. The burial information (Ft. Erie), said she was born there in Bertie twp, and she was listed as a widow. Her son and she were buried in the same plot. I cannot find what became of James Bales Current. He is listed as one of the founders of Clinton County, Iowa, and in the mid-1900's, there was a Mr. and Mrs. James Bales Current(b. 1907) buried in the Clinton Co, Iowa area. But this was too late to be the James Bales Current I am looking for. (Also, the wife's name was Daisy, rather than Sarah Jane.) Could this be a grandson of my James Bales Current? Can anyone locate him in the 1880 census, along with names of more children? Is there any record of what happened to James- where he died and is buried? (Keep in mind he was born in 1821, and his wife was a widow at the time of her death in 1896.)
