I was reading your artical because of the Surname you had and I was wondering if there ever was a township named after your ancesters? My Grandmother swore up and down that she was born in a little town called Hittle Dittle, Iowa. She was born in 1914. I can not find this town anywhere in the history of Iowa. So I'm just curious if there was such a township and was it name after your ancesters? [email protected]

Looking for info on my g-grandfather, Joshua H. Henderson. What I have found is he was a veteran of the 10th Iowa Infantry, Co. A, enlisted in Polk City, Iowa, on Aug. 21, 1961, discharged on either Jan. 26, 1862 or Feb. 3, 1862. He was born in 1841? I'm looking for his parents and siblings. Would they be from Polk City, or might he have traveled there to enlist? Thanks for any info anyone would have. [email protected]
