My great grand father served in the home guard during the civil war 1862 in IOWA ,but I have not been able to find out any thing of the home guard,what it was,where did they serve,what records are avilable,does any one reading this have any info.? His name was Frederick BECKER,from Lyons,IA.

Looking for information about this person and his wife Margret Norman; birth, occupation, death, etc. A son of his was born in Hamburg, Freemont Co., Iowa, in 1887. At some point in time Henry F. may have come in contact with the 'Bill Louis gang'. Any information about this gang appreciated
