I have access to a number of letters from Pvt.Melville A. Tenney (of Ainsworth, IA) written to his wife Ann during from 1862-1865. I am reasonably sure he survived the Civil War, but died within 2 years of his discharge. I have an address of the Washington County Genealogy Society and will send a request. In the meantime is there someone out there that may know of the Tenney family in Ainsworth? Pvt. Tenney had two daughters- Alice and Clara. Thanks for any help you are able to give to me.
