The headstone was toppled and all I could see was the name. He had at least 3 sons die in the Civil War. My husband's great grandfather was one of the sons. Matthew was born in VA then moved to Ohio and later to Iowa. He was a shoemaker in VA about 1830. Any information on this family would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.
