Article 180From: CommentsVairoFrom: Joan Vairo Amos CommentsWould like to hear from anyone researching or having the Vairo surname, my ancestors from Locano, Italy. Musfeldt/Musfelt Family HistoryFrom: [email protected] CommentsHi! I am interested in hearing from anyone who might be able to help me with my Musfeldt/Musfelt family history searching in the Iowa area, particularly in Clayton County. I understand that there is a Musfeldt family cemetary there and might hold a number of ancestors' information for me. My grandfather was born in Red Oak, Iowa (Albert Clarence Musfeldt/Musfelt). He and his brother, Vernon, both emigrated to homestead in south western Alberta, Canada. Right now my genealogy researching is at a stand still until I can find some information on who their parents were. If you can help, I'd LOVE to hear from you! Thanks! Kathy Musfelt [email protected] New Sweden Settlement & New Sweden ChurchFrom: [email protected] CommentsRe: https://www.svenskaemigrantinstitutet.g.se/eng-6.htm From pioneer to mass emigration Is the "New Sweden, Iowa" settlement, founded in 1845 by Peter Cassel located in Jefferson County near Fairfield or Henry County near Mt. Pleasant? My father, Clarence B. Samuelson, was born on June 11, 1907 in Jefferson Co, Fairfield Iowa. He was baptized at the "New Sweden Church". My Grandparents were John and Anna Samuelson; Great Grandparents were Gus and Clara Samuelson. Is the "New Sweden Church" located in the settlement mentioned in the referenced article.
