I am searching for information on my ancestors, John and Mary Wilson. They came to Henry County in 1835 from Clay County, Kentucky. John died in 1887 and Mary died in 1873. They are both buried in the "Bethel Church" cemetery which his obituary states is in Mt. Pleasant. Any information would be welcome.

The THORN(E) and JENKINS families moved to Iowa before the Civil War. Fred Thorn fought with the 5th Iowa Cavalary. Moses Jenkins was killed at the battle of Arkansas Post.Fred in turn married his widow, Deborah VanWart Jenkins. They had two sons; Lamont Eugene(my grandfather) and Moses. I also know that many of Fred's family moved to Iowa, including his Mother, Ann Little Thorn and some of his siblings and or half siblings. After the Civil War Fred and Deborah moved to Minnesota. Any information would be appreciated

Am looking for any lead on my ggrandparents. They were German Lutheran and lived in Scotch Grove, IA abt.1895. The names are George & Elsie b.1847 &1854 (parents), Heinrich, John, Anna b.1892, 1888, 1896. They seemed to have changed the spelling of their names at times, given & surname. Other than this I know nothing and am at a dead end. Please help! Thank you kindly.
