I'm living in the small town of Gussenstadt, which is about 20 miles northwest of the city of Ulm (the city with the highest church steeple in the world) in Germany. In the past years Genealogy became my great hobby. During my researches I found out that my great-great-grandfather Christian Jaeger had 3 brothers and sisters that emigrated to Iowa. From one of them still two letters exist that give the following information: the brothers and sisters were the following persons: Now Im looking of these persons above. If available, please send me the name, birth-, marriage- and death dates of all children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with the names and dates of the wives and husbands of the above persons. I would like to complete the family history of the Jaegers of Gussenstadt, which can be proved back to the year 1616 to Johann Jaeger, spoonmaker in Gussenstadt. Melchior Jaeger, born September 27, 1834 in Gussenstadt (Germany) married to Anna Dauner, born in Gerstetten (Germany) He emigrated to Burlington, Iowa in 1857. In the year 1895 he writes that he is now 37 years there (in Burlington), he's burried 9 children and 3 sons are still alive. The eldest son Louis (Ludwig Michael) works as a cigar-maker. From a second letter of 1898 we learn that Louis was elected as a representative in the legislative citizenship of the state of Iowa in 1897. He has two children: Arnold and Hazel. The second son worked as mechanic and died in summer 1897, according to the letter of 1898. The third son Arfthur worked as an upholsterer and coroner In Mt.
