Lina Andrea Larson, died in Boone County in 1876. The Boone Library tells me she is not listed on any of the cemetery indexes. Does anyone know if obituaries were printed in any of the newspapers from that time? Her husband was Lars E. Larson, and daughters, Lena Larson, b: 9 July 1869, and Anna Petrine Larson, b: 22 Jan 1872. Both born in Boone County. Thank you for any information.

Need to know which roll of state census to order in order to get state prison at Fort Madison. Looking for information on Thomas M Townsend who was incarcerated for Murder. He was missed on 1920 federal census because he was transferred from the Dubuque jail to the state prison

First Male Child Born in Iowa

I'm looking for any information which names the "First Male Child" born in the iowa. The newspaper death announcement for my Greatgrandfather (Frank Waddell b.1869 d. 1949) stated that his Great-Great-Grandfather was the first male child born in Iowa. Both are reportedly buried in the Waddell Cemetery near Delta, IA. I assume the surname is Waddell, but have no way to confirm. Any information is grealy appricated.
