My grandmother was born 1874 near Bancrort Iowa ,in one of the lastof the pioneer settlements of that state. at the time of her birth her parents' home was a dugout in the side of a hill. She grew to womenhood there and in 1895 married. Mamis Mary Nancy Wilson Married Walter Anson Garis. Is ther any information on this settlement? Lowell Bradbury Smith married Sylvia Alice Kirkham. Issue: sons; "Ray" & "Fay" and younger sister Winifred, born: 5/8/06. Lived in Fort Dodge, IA and parents buried in town nearby (Alice?) Will be in area in early Sept. & would appreciate any clues to family & or history.
