My family has a book written by Julia and Jefferson about Herndon Hall, ca.1800s, that contains family photos, interior and exterior photos of the home, floorplans, and accounts of events that took place in the home. My family and I would like to find out what happened to Herndon Hall (we assume that it has been destroyed), any additional information about the home, and if there are any additional copies of the book. PICKETT's marriage date as 3 Sept 1897. They were my great-great grandparents. I believe this is an error. According to census records and children's birthdates, I would guess the year to be about 1867. I am in WA state. Does anyone have access to these records to see if that is a transcription error?
