Mooi FamilyFrom: [email protected] CommentsI am interested on any material about the Mooi family. I am particularly interested in three members of the Luppo Mooi family buried in the Grundy County cemetery in 1918. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you Jane Eppinga Hans Johnson FamilyFrom: scblair@primenet. com CommentsI am looking for information concerning my grandfather's family. Hans Johnson was born in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany in 1843. He married Anna Dibbern there before immigrating to the U.S. We know that my grandfather Henry Jacob Johnson was born to Hans and Anna in DeWitt, IA on September 2, 1879. We do not know how long they stayed in DeWitt or if they moved on. At this time the only other locational information we have is that we know they were in White Lake, SD by 1920 but we suspect earlier. We also know that Hans was a butcher. Besides my grandfather Hans and Anna had three other children older than my grandfather: Theresa, Walter, and Amanda (8/8/1870). We don't know where they were born yet. Rev. George HamiltonFrom: Marilee Cunningham CommentsMy grandfather, Curtis B. Hamilton, was born in Sigourney, IA, in May, 1877. His father was Rev. George Hamilton. The family moved sometime later, and Curtis listed Des Moines as his home when he applied to Drake University in 1894. Is there a town history that was written in the late 1870s, or can anyone advise me regarding birth certificate info for that time period? [email protected] Lehmann and Steinhoff of O'Brien CountyFrom: [email protected] CommentsI am trying to determine immigration dates on my grandmother, Mary Betty Lehmann, who was sent to Paullina, Iowa from Denmark to live with her mother's relatives, Carl Steinhoff around 1910. If anyone has information of either the Steinhoff family or M. B. Lehmann, it would be greatly appreciated ANDERSON (Rev)From: [email protected] CommentsI have been sent a picture of a Rev. Anderson taken in Davenport, IA. I assume his church must be in that town. He looks to be in his late 20's early 30's, nice looking young man. The picture may have been taken 1880's to 1900 or somewhere in that time frame. I think he may have been my GGGrandfather's brother. Grandpa Anderson immigrated in 1884 to Burlington. Can anyone help me find out who this young man is? Efforts to locate him on the cesus have failed so far. I don't even know what denomination he is. Anyone from Davenport know of a Rev. Anderson early on? Robert Adams/Charlotte ThompsonFrom: Christina Adams CommentsLooking for Robert Sterling Adams, b. Aug 31, 1877, Charter Oak, IA.
