My Sporleder family initially came to America in the 1860's and 1870's. My Great Grandfather (Carl Henry Sporleder) and Grandfather (Henry Carl Sporleder) arrived in 1871 and settled in Will County, Illinois. Later they came to Iowa and lived in the Carroll County area. They came from Dassel, Germany that is near Hanover. Henry Carl Sporleder's also had two other sons, Fred [Fritz} and William [Will]. Fred settled in the Carroll County area near Lidderdale. Will lived there for a while and then moved to Pierce, Nebraska.

I would be interested in any information on the Sporleders in at this site.
