He apparantly came to Quasqueton, Iowa in 1849 from Illinois, then to Mt. Vernon in the fall of 1853/54. From there he left the "Academy" (??) and ended up near the vicinity of Ceday Rapids and settled. He enlisted as a Corporal in the 16th. I would like to find everything on this man.
