Bell FamilyFrom: Tombstone Tracker - email [email protected] CommentsI am searching for Clara Bell. She was born in Nevada, Story County, Iowa in 1858 (possible aka Carrie). I have been told she had 9 brothers; one is Marion A. Bell. I believe her father was John J. Bell born in Ohio. Some of the names of her siblings are as follows: Wilson, John R., Homer, Sarah J., M.E., and James D. Most of them were born in Ohio. I need to know who her mother was. This family is listed on the 1860 census in Nevada, Story County, Iowa; head of family's wife not listed. Clara moved with her parents to Beatrice, Nebraska. She married Thomas J. Smith. They moved to Blackwell, Oklahoma. They had five children: Retta, Fay, William, Maude, and Lyle. I have verified that she was alive and living in Blackwell, Oklahoma in 1925; I have the original telegraph her son, Lyle, sent her on Mother's day.
