I am looking for family of George Simpson (b. 1840) and Caroline Miller (b. 1845). George moved to Knoxville after Civil War and lived on 9 acres located at 7th and Washington and served as County Recorder in 1883. My grandfather Frederick Homer Simpson was born in Marion County, Iowa the 8th of 10 living children, on November 3, 1878. His brother worked for Knoxville Journal. Any information would be appreciated.
