I have reason to believe my great grandfather, Roswell OSBORN, died in Milford, Iowa, on 20-Apr-1885. Could someone please point me to the most likely source for an obituary?

I heard on the NGS Genealogy echo some time ago that it has become difficult to obtain vital records for Iowa events. Could someone please comment on this and suggest the procedure most likely to yield me a copy of Roswell's death record?
