I am looking for any information on Lt. Col. George R West. He is my ggg grandfather and I really need anything that anyone can contribute. I know he was in the Civil War, 37th Iowa Infantry. Married Phoebe Vallette Wormer. Originally came from New York and lived in Dubuque for over 40 years.I am specifically looking for proof of his birth date, marriage and death.
