B.F. Silknitter was the police chief of Centerville, IA @ 1909-'10-'11. He was my gr. grandfather. He m. Sallie Bell b. Aug 1858 in Iowa.Her mother was Jane Bell, b. 1826 in PA. I am looking for any information on Lt. Col. George R West. He is my ggg grandfather and I really need anything that anyone can contribute. I know he was in the Civil War, 37th Iowa Infantry. Married Phoebe Vallette Wormer. Originally can from New York and lived in Dubuque for over 40 years.I am specifically looking for proof of his birth date, marriage and death.
