Perry Summerfield was kidnapped from Roane Co. VA (later 1863) West Virginia. The family that kidnapped him lived for awhile in Washington Co. Iowa - Perry Summerfiel was on the 1870 Census. He later moved to California and then to the state of Washington. Is there anyone in Washington co. Iowa who might have the Marriages of that county. His wife has the initials "M.O.". Many many thanks. I think you have one of the best web sites I have seen. Keep up the good work.

Hello, I'm desperately hunting for information of my Great Grandfather, Jeremiah Wood, born 9-27-1855, in Indiana (I think), died 1-15-1883. His father was David M. Wood and I think his mother was Olive. In the 1870 Census of Taylor County, Iowa, David and Olive are listed with children; Henry, Nettie, Jeremiah, Clark, Lizzie, Eliza, and Clay.----Jeremiah married Amanda C. Wysong, in Taylor County, Iowa. She died 7-13-1882, just 3 months after giving birth to Leslie Bere Wood, born 4-1-1882. Jeremiah died 6 months later. Jeremiah and Amanda are buried in Lexington Cemetery in Taylor County, Iowa. Would love to find some information on Jeremiah and his siblings and partnets. Thank you for your time. My GGGGrandfather WILLIAM CROWNER, JR., died in Garden Grove on June 18, 1872. Would anyone have any idea of cemeteries in the area at that time. Unable to locate any death information on him. Please e-mail me: [email protected]
