I recently received my local phone bill and to my surprise, the bill was about twenty bucks higher than normal. Listed under, "Additional services," were two seperate charges for $9.95. A total of $19.90. What was weird about the two entries is that they had zero minutes listed, no telephone number was listed, and both charges occurred at twelve o'clock A.M. It only showed the location as being, "PsychEncou, nt." In other words, Psychic Encounters. I have no idea of what the two charges are for as I am unable to call any 900 number because my cordless phone works as my cellular phone when I am away from my house. You cannot call any 900 number from a cell phone, I don't know why but that's just the way it is. I did however call the free 800 number listed on various t.v. ads requesting further information on the 900. I never gave permission for them to bill me for any reason. In my opinion, what did was wrong and possibly illegal. If anybody out there has had the same thing happen to them, I suggest that they contact their phone company and to voice a complaint as I have. I am in the process of having the two charges removed from my phone bill. If it is not, you don't have to be a psychic to predict what type of legal action I will take...
